GIS 1 Lab 2

Lab 2 Blog Report
10/30/2015

In this lab, the goal was to learn how to download and map data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The results was creating a web map and posting it on ArcGISOnline. The map I created was looking at the number of occupied houses per the total houses in each county within Wisconsin. The map I created was side by side with the map of the total population of Wisconsin, showed in each county. The patterns that appeared was that in general, more houses tended to be occupied with a higher population, though many counties with lower population still had a high ratio of occupied houses. Generally, the more north you go in the state, the lower the population gets and the lower the ratio of occupied houses to total houses. The source for this lab was the US Census Bureau of 2010.
